Krysp Wireless Provides Super WiFi Connectivity for Canada’s First Nation Communities

Super WiFi Combines Extended Range with Quick & Simplified Deployments for Underserved First Nations

The Lheidli T’enneh First Nation, located on the outskirts of Prince George in Northern British Columbia, enjoys beautiful vistas and bountiful natural resources, but has lacked high speed and affordable network access for their student population and the community at large.

And, while a Telus fiber line terminated just ¾ of a mile away from the Lheidli band office and surrounding homes, The Nechaho River and a hill topped by a thick line of trees sat between it and the village.

Krysp Wireless’s Super WiFi technology was the ideal solution for bridging this connectivity gap and was chosen by Lheidli T’enneh First Nation to deploy its solution, which was completed in September of 2020 with assistance from Ascentech – Krysp’s, Northern BC reseller partner. Residents now have robust wireless network connectivity with both indoor and outdoor coverage.

The Altai A8 Ein Super Wifi base station can deliver Wifi connectivity over distances of up to a Mile

A second First Nation Band has already engaged Krysp to install its Super WiFi technology in October 2020. Given the success of these projects, and the acute need for improved network access among many First Nations across the Province, it is expected these two installations will be followed by many more Super WiFi deployments for remote communities across BC and other Canadian Provinces.

Super Wifi from Krysp Wireless provides industrial grade wireless connectivity solutions for the most challenging use cases and is particularly effective for expansive outdoor applications.
